Not only is Artificial Intelligence emerging, but also Ancestral Intelligence is re-emerging as a significant influence on our modern lives. Both intelligences take into account a much larger picture and timeframe than we can possibly integrate as individuals. Of course, any intelligence has its dangers, but just as it is important to become "street-wise" in our car infested cities, we must become "info-wise" in our mis-information infested social media. From the Ancestral Intelligence perspective, "Mātāmua te Taiao – privilege the environment". Respect and work on the environment of the individual, team, organisation for the long term health of all of life.
Emérgéntly is a tool to think bigger picture, longer term. It is a framework to shift from the old command and control paradigm based on short-term desired (ego-centric) outcomes, to a more diversity and interdependence paradigm of emergence and systemic (eco-centric) evolution. Instead of "you are either with us or against us", we need to celebrate our diversity and find ways to collaborate interdependently for systemic outcomes.
Emérgéntly is a simple tool to explore the interdependencies of any system and its context (the larger systems it is nested within). It uses the ancient metaphor of the four elements, earth, air, water and fire which have been considered the fundamental elements of life by many indigenous cultures as well as ancient Greece, Buddhism and Hinduism. A fifth element often represents the context within which the four elements exist. When we place the four elements onto a tetrahedron, we have a wonderful metaphor of interdependence. No two elements are opposites, and the tetrahedron has no opposite sides.
To visualise the Emérgéntly metaphor framework, unfold the tetrahedron and add a spiral starting from the middle triangle and spiralling out anticlockwise to illustrate the sequence the system typically progresses.
Emérgéntly is a quaternion-valued algorithm (framework) for your own neural network (brain) to reveal the relationships and sequences within complex systems, based on a lifetime of data (experience).

Wondering how to privilege the environment in business? A ScienceDirect paper titled The Human Ecosystem reports on the Haier Group: a multinational business that primarily produces and markets manufactured goods and whose multiple business ecosystems are based not on traditional management control, but rather on distributed organizational and information technology platforms.
